Knight's Ascent — RTP 98%, max 15,000x

Nobles Gaming ·Medium–high volatility ·RTP 98%

Knight's Ascent, blazoned by Nobles Gaming, is not a reel pokie at all — it is a step-multiplier climb, a crash-style game dressed in castle stone. You send an armoured knight up a tower, the multiplier swells with every landing he clears, and the trick is to cash out before he falls. The shots below are from my own demo run at 400 FUNS a go, so read this as an honest note on a crash title, not a spinning-reel review.

Knight's Ascent, read closely

01The chronicle opens

ntered into the roll on 15 October 2025, Knight's Ascent is a step-multiplier (step-crash) game from Nobles Gaming — the sort of arcade climb that has crept into the pokie lobbies of late, sitting next to the reels without actually being one.

There are no paylines to muster here and no symbols to match. Instead a knight stands at the foot of a keep, and each step he takes up the tower banks a higher multiplier. It is a chronicle of nerve rather than luck-of-the-reels — you decide when the ascent has gone far enough.

02Theme and atmosphere

The charge is a lone knight in blue-grey plate, red plume on his helm, sword drawn, framed against a bright mountain valley and a sandstone tower hung with purple heraldic banners. It is handsome and sunlit — a cheerier medieval palette than the usual moonlit-castle fare.

Multiplier bubbles float at each level of the tower; in my run I could read x1.21 on the lower ledge and x1.47 higher up, the reward growing as the climb continues. A gold BONUS GAME chest sits to the left, and the whole thing has the clean, readable look of a mobile arcade round.

03How the game is played

This is where Knight's Ascent parts ways with a pokie. You set a stake — mine sat at 400 FUNS against a demo balance of 1,000,000 FUNS — pick a difficulty (my run was on Easy x1), and start the climb. Each successful step raises your live multiplier.

The longer the knight climbs, the bigger the number, but a fall wipes the round. Cash out early for a safe, small multiplier; push on for the fat ones and risk the lot. The x1.21 and x1.47 bubbles I saw are the low rungs of that ladder — the ceiling, per the pool, reaches far higher.

04Bonus features and difficulty

The feature set is short and honest: a Buy Feature, a Multiplier engine and the Step Multiplier (Step Crash) core. The Buy Feature lets you pay in for the round outright, and the difficulty selector (Easy x1 in my session) tunes how the climb and its risk are shaped.

There is a BONUS GAME chest on the reel frame, but as a crash-style title the real 'feature' is simply the climb itself — how high you dare send the knight before you take the coin. There is no free-spins round to chase, no scatter, no wild.

05RTP, volatility and max win

The pool lists a healthy return of 98%, which is generous by any measure and typical of the crash-game breed, where the house edge is kept slim and the swings come from your own cash-out timing.

Volatility is marked medium-high, and the headline number is a 15,000× stake top multiplier — a serious ceiling, reachable only by riding the climb near its limit and getting out in time. My Easy x1 run stayed in the tame x1.2–x1.5 range, which is exactly the trade-off: safe rungs are small, the big ones live near the fall.

06Who it suits

Knight's Ascent suits players who already enjoy crash and climb games and want a medieval skin on the format, plus a 98% return and that eye-catching 15,000× ceiling. The cash-out decision gives you real agency, which reel-spinners lack.

If you came looking for a proper pokie — reels, paylines, free spins — this is not it, and you should know that going in. Whatever you play, the climb can tempt you to push one step too far, so set a limit before you muster in and treat it as entertainment. 07In short

An honest, good-looking step-crash climb rather than a spinning pokie: the 98% return and 15,000× ceiling are strong on paper, and the cash-out mechanic is genuinely tense. But it is a niche format, and anyone expecting reels will be caught out. I enter it in the chronicle at 6 out of 10 — a fair mark for a tidy crash title that knows what it is.

Rules of the game

Format

This is a step-multiplier (step-crash) game, not a reel pokie. There are no paylines or matching symbols — you climb a tower for a rising multiplier.

The climb

A knight ascends the tower one level at a time. Each landing banks a higher multiplier, shown in floating bubbles (x1.21 and x1.47 on the lower rungs in my run).

Cash out

You choose when to stop and collect the current multiplier. Push on for a bigger number and risk a fall that ends the round with nothing.

Difficulty

A difficulty selector shapes the risk and reward of the climb. My session ran on the Easy x1 setting.

Buy Feature

A Buy Feature lets you pay in for the round directly rather than building up to it.

Knight's Ascent has no symbol paytable — it is a step-crash climb, so 'pays' are the live multipliers earned by ascending the tower. The only real values I could read in my Easy x1 demo run were the climb bubbles x1.21 and x1.47 on the lower rungs; higher rungs stack toward the pool's 15,000x ceiling but were not reached in my session, so those are entered after the session.

Four rungs up the tower my knight stands on the x4.66 ledge and the Cashout button offers 1,864 FUNS against the 400-FUN ticket — x5.65, x6.84 and x8.29 still hanging overhead. Every number here is straight off the screen; I kept climbing instead of banking it, which is exactly the gamble this game sells.
