Knights Fight, read closely
01The chronicle opens
Entered into the roll on 2 March 2021, Knights Fight is a five-reel, three-row pokie from Yolted, styled as one of 'The Classics' — a deliberately old-school reel game dressed in stone and heraldry rather than the studio's usual crash-game fare.
The reels stand in a castle keep flanked by red banners, with a 'Blitz' fast-spin button on the right and the tagline 'Spin for Honour' across the gate. It is a familiar five-reeler with a nastier streak than its tidy looks let on.
02Theme and atmosphere
The charge is a tournament roster: a blue-caped knight raising his sword, a stone castle, an armoured helm with a golden plume, and crossed swords on a red shield. Royals K, Q, J and A round out the low ranks in gilded medieval type.
The presentation is clean rather than lavish — sandy reels, red heraldic banners, a sunlit keep behind. It reads clearly on a phone and gets out of its own way, which suits a game that wants you spinning fast.
03How the game is played
Wins muster left to right across the reels. In my run at a €1.00 bet the base pays were slim — a single line paid €2.00 at best, with a run of €1.00 hits either side of it. The wizard is the key charge: a hooded mage holding a glowing blue orb marked WILD.
The Blitz button turns spins into near-instant results, and the pool also flags Hyperspins — a paid re-spin mechanic that lets you lock and respin reels toward a target. This is a game built to move quickly.
04Bonus features
The wizard wild does more than substitute: when it helps complete a line, my run showed those wins multiplied by 2×. The pool feature list adds a Free Spins round with additional free spins on offer, a Bonus Game, a general Multiplier and a Symbol Swap that transforms symbols for bigger combinations.
I did not trigger the free spins or the bonus in my session, so I am not going to dress up numbers I never saw. What I can confirm is the ×2 wild multiplier on line wins and the Hyperspins re-spin option in the base game.
05RTP, volatility and max win
The pool lists the return at 96%, on benchmark, with an RTP-range flag — meaning an operator can run a lower configuration, so check the panel wherever you play. Volatility is marked high.
The top prize is a hefty 8,500× stake — the biggest ceiling of any knight I have chronicled so far. That combination of high volatility and a tall roof tells you exactly what to expect: long cold stretches chasing one big muster.
06Who it suits
This suits players who like a fast, high-volatility classic reeler with a genuinely large 8,500× ceiling and a wild that multiplies. The Blitz and Hyperspins options make it a quick, punchy session.
If you dislike long dry runs or want frequent, gentle pays, high volatility will test your patience and your bankroll. Whatever you choose, set a limit before you muster in and treat it as entertainment. Free, confidential support is at safergambling.org.nz and the Gambling Helpline on 0800 654 655. 18+.
07The blazon in brief
A clean, fast, high-volatility classic reeler with a wizard wild that pays double and a proper 8,500× ceiling. The base game is thin between features and I could not open the bonus in my run, but the ambition is there. I enter it in the chronicle at 6 out of 10.
