Return of The Green Knight, read closely
011. First muster
The board is a warmer, more autumnal take on the legend than its stablemates — golden trees, sunlit stone arches, and a cast of painted court figures (a fair-haired squire, a raven-haired lady, a silver-haired sorceress, a crowned king) sitting alongside hexagon-cut A-K-Q-J-T royals.
A crested green Wild helm with crossed axes anchors the reels, and the x2/x5/x10/x25/x100 ladder rides across the top of the frame throughout, same house style as the rest of the family. Released 5 October 2023.
022. What the pool roll records
From the roll: provider Play'n GO, RTP 96.27%, HIGH volatility, maximum win 40,000x the stake, released 5 October 2023. Themes tag it Britain, Fairy tales, Fantasy, Green, Knights, Medieval/Middle Ages and Mythical legend.
A 96.27% RTP is genuinely generous for a HIGH-volatility title, and the 40,000x ceiling is the biggest number across all three Green Knight pokies I've reviewed so far.
033. The charges on the reels
By spin 8 the reels were stacked with the painted court cast — squire, lady, sorceress, king — and the crested Wild helm glowing green in the second column. Two spins later a Wild-anchored line resolved for a clean WIN: 2.50, the game itself confirming 'Won 2.50 on line 12' at my 1.00 bet.
The balance moved from 25,000.00 down to 24,991.80 and back up across the run, ordinary base-game rhythm rather than anything explosive. No full per-symbol paytable page surfaced in my session, so I'm reporting only the figures I actually watched land.
044. Wild multipliers and free spins
The pool sheet lists Additional Free Spins, Free Spins, Free Spins Multiplier, Level Up, Multiplier, Random multiplier, Sticky Wilds and Wilds with multipliers — a deep feature stack even by the family's standards, and the deepest of the three I've covered.
None of the free-spins or Level Up mechanics triggered inside my 14-spin sample, so I'm describing them from the pool sheet and the on-screen ladder rather than from something I watched resolve myself.
055. How the demo session felt
Steadier than its 2025 stablemate in my short sample — the line win on spin 10 (2.50 on line 12) arrived as an ordinary base-game pay rather than a big Wild spike, which tracks with HIGH volatility games needing a longer run before the real swings show themselves.
The warmer autumn palette and the fuller court-figure cast give it more visual variety per spin than the other two Green Knight titles.
066. Who it suits
For players chasing the biggest ceiling in the Green Knight family — 40,000x — paired with a friendlier 96.27% RTP than its stablemates. The deep feature list (Level Up, Random multiplier, multiplier free spins) rewards patience.
Whatever you spin, keep it 18+, set a limit and stop when it stops being fun. NZ support: safergambling.org.nz and the Gambling Helpline on 0800 654 655.
077. The chronicler's blazon
The biggest ceiling (40,000x) and the friendliest RTP (96.27%) of the three Green Knight pokies, backed by the deepest feature list, and a real 2.50 line win in my own run.
Enter it as the family's heavyweight — the highest stakes worth mustering for.
